Sal Sage, western music entertainer, passes away. Born in Mountain View, CA on October 29, 1931 and raised in San Francisco, Sal began singing western music at 20 years old starting a career lasting over 50 years. A member of the Screen Actors Guild, Sal worked in commercials and as a movie extra. Sal began working in the Union Stockyards, becoming a butcher by trade in San Francisco. He began moonlighting in local honky tonks, and music soon became his passion. Sal was best known for entertainment at the Red Bluff Gelding Sale, Grand National Livestock Expo, and many other cowboy functions. He resided in Lincoln, CA with his loving wife Georgia for the past eleven and a half years.
